Privacy Policy

Sharedtime ("Sharedtime", "we", "us") is a social app for hanging out with friends in live voice rooms. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at admin@getdan.app.

Information we collect

Account information

• Sign-in details. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or a phone number, we receive an identifier for your account (such as an email address or verified phone number) and, if you choose to share it, your name.
• Profile. Your display name, handle, profile photo, and any profile details you add are stored with your account and visible to other users.

Contacts (optional)

If you grant contacts access, Sharedtime uploads phone numbers from your contacts to our servers so we can match them against Sharedtime accounts and help you quickly find friends who already use Sharedtime. We do not upload contact names or photos, and we use the uploaded phone numbers only for this friend-matching purpose. Contacts access is optional, and you can use Sharedtime without granting it.

Content you create

• Voice rooms. Audio in voice rooms is transmitted in real time to the other participants in the room. We do not record or store room audio on our servers.
• Messages, photos, and posts. Messages you send, images you share, room group photos, and club content are stored so they can be delivered and displayed to the people you shared them with.
• Camera and photo library. Used only when you choose to take or select a photo (for example, a profile picture). We only receive the media you pick.

Purchases

Payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment card details. We receive purchase receipts and subscription status (via our payments partner RevenueCat) so we can unlock the features you paid for.

Usage and device information

We collect basic usage data (such as rooms joined, features used, app version, device type, language, and crash/diagnostic logs), a push notification token if you enable notifications, and online/offline presence so friends can see when you're around.

How we use information

• Provide and operate Sharedtime — rooms, messaging, clubs, notifications, and presence.
• Help you quickly find friends who already use Sharedtime by matching phone numbers from your contacts on our servers, if you grant contacts access.
• Process subscriptions and unlock premium features.
• Keep the community safe — enforce our rules, review reports, and prevent abuse.
• Understand how the app is used so we can fix problems and improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

How information is shared

• Other users. Your profile, presence, and the content you share are visible to the people and rooms you share them with.
• Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run Sharedtime: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, push notifications), LiveKit (real-time voice), RevenueCat (subscription management), Superwall (paywall display), and cloud infrastructure providers. They process data only to provide these services to us.
• Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account, which removes your profile and personal data from our systems. You can also email us at admin@getdan.app to request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we will honor applicable requests. You can withdraw permissions (contacts, microphone, camera, photos, notifications) at any time in your device settings.

Children

Sharedtime is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child is using Sharedtime, contact us and we will remove the account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and we store data with reputable cloud providers. No service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the new effective date above. Continued use of Sharedtime after changes means you accept the updated policy.
